The tour includes the medieval monuments, the Cathedral and Baptistery; the stunning frescoes by Correggio in the Duomo and in the church of St. John. Then you discover the magnificent period in which Parma was ruled by the Farnese family visiting, inside Palazzo della Pilotta, the Farnese Theatre built for the court.
In the late morning we will leave for Langhirano, a small hilly village which is known all over the world for the production of Prosciutto di Parma. After a rich lunch based on handmade pasta and local meat products, we will visit the ham factory, an essential step to understand what makes the local hams so delicious and unique.
